So I woke up this morning, and thought it would be a great idea to send all of the other competing contestants a box of Whitman’s Chocolates, with a card that just said “With love, a secret admirer”, but then I looked in my wallet and decided that was not a good option. I was a little disappointed with myself last week, as I felt that I could do a little bit of cheating, like eating the platter K at El Ranchito (Oops forgot to log that one), but it just not possible to sneak stuff like that by a skilled nutritionist like Lori Esarey. (http://totalnutritionandtherapeutics.com). At our last meeting, she told me the truth, and the truth hurt. And the scale does not lie.

Luckily, Lori said just enough to make me want to eat right and win this competition. So for the last week straight, my normal daily routine consist of the following:

Breakfast: Either 2 eggs, or  Chobani Yogurt.

6:00 AM hit the gym for 1 hour of cardio.

7:30 AM head to physical therapy for a bone spur in my shoulder that is making it hard to work the upper body.

8:45 AM Drink ½ of a 50 G Protein shake.

9:00 AM back to the gym for 1 hour of muscle work.

10:15 Go home and relax in hot tub, even in the rain.

10:30 Hit the showers.

11:00 to 12:00 I get my lunch ready, 6 ounces of chicken breast, 2 cups of vegetables.

12:00 or so, I usually try to have lunch with my superhot wife Sara, who has been doing very well with Weight Watchers. Keep up the good work honey!

I finally make it to work around 1:00 PM, and try to get some of the tasks done at the office that only I can do, because I set it up. I would rather be diving.

Anyway, I sneak away around 3:00 PM and drink the rest of the protein shake, and then I try to get some work done from home, closing service tickets, returning the 100’s of phone calls I miss while I am doing the above list.

I sometimes help my wife pickup the kids, but that gives me time to read my email deeper while I wait.

Then I head back to the office for another hour, or go run errands, well I don’t really “run”, but I t probably would not hurt.

5:30 rolls around, and it’s time for 6 more ounces of chicken, and 2 more cups of vegetables. How yummy is that?

I usually try to eat a PM snack, but it depends on my calorie count as to what I eat.

In the evening, I try to get back to the gym to do at least 30 minutes of leg workouts, but I don’t always make that one.

Once we get the kids in the bed, I try to get to bed myself as soon as possible, since 6 AM is just a few hours away, and we start all over.

In case you didn’t know, as well as being a SCUBA instructor, I operate Central Florida Help Desk, and we are a Small Business Technology Support company that has been in  business for 6 years in Lake County. So if you ever need any computer support, or even just have a question about computers, visit http://cflhelpdesk.com or you can call HUMAN powered helpdesk at 352-314-3855, large account references available. (Shameless Plug)

I got a surprise for our next weigh in. and I got the dumb Rocky song in my head “I’m feeling stronger….”

TTYL,

Judd < Don’t Click this J>

PS: Good late night snack is to eat pickles slices, instead of the 100 calorie pack of Grasshoppers. Is it just me or does the 100 calorie pack of anything really turn into the 400 calorie pack?

Well the past two weeks have been very draining on me. While I know I am losing some weight, I also know that I am gaining muscle, which upsets me when I get on the scale. I do however, do see some changes in my waistline. I mean when Al sees it, I have to be doing something right.  If overall out of this I have learned at least 1 thing, and that’s DON’T GET LAPPED. I am now the proud owner of 50 burpees with sprints! (Burpess really tear me down, and Tyrell knows that, so I think that’s his punishment of choice. I also got a chance to work out under Al’s instruction, and I must say while I was scared he would work me near to death, it was actually a pleaseant experience, and he knew when the burn would start and stop. And now for some bad news. I went to Dr. Grey, over at Dr. Hardy’s Leesburg office for a problem I am experiencing in my right shoulder. Nothing seems messed up from what they can see on the x-ray, so I am setup for a MRI on Monday.  All prayers welcome!

I want to thank my very beautiful wife for all of her support during these times of being gone at odd times of the day, I want to thank my employee’s over at http://cflhelpdesk.com who understand that I am taking this very seriously, and they route me as few tickets as possible. I want to thank everyone who mentions how much better I look, and also wanted to let you know that I FEEL much better, and lastly I want to thank my personal training team, Tyrell, Lori, and Al. I could not have gotten this far without you all. And also a huge thanks to Eric over at English Communications.

Current workout: 1 hour of Cardio in the early mornings, then 1.5 hour muscle training in the late afternoon.  5 Days a week.

I even got to work out with my cousin Gus the other night, and he is one bad dude! 50LB barbell crunches?  Wow!

Judd Spence: A Closer Look

February 24th, 2010

In one month’s time, Judd Spence says when “I flex my muscles I feel like Superman; I don’t look like that.”

The change is happening for the 39-year-old scuba instructor. After a steady diet of what he calls Whoppers, wings and pizza, the change is noticeable.

“You know, I can see muscle tone whereas before I couldn’t,” he says. img_7674 Read Full Entry

Wow, trying to fit all of this gym time, and work and kids and blog and SCUBA really takes it out of me.

Actually, I sorry to my fans for not getting this blog updated as much as I have wanted to , but I can come up with a million excuses J

These past two week have been amazing, between working out, and eating better, I can already feel and see the differences.

I was rushing around looking for a belt the other morning, and could not find the one I was looking for, but I did find an old belt that I stopped using because it didn’t fit.

Sure enough, I put it on, and it fit nicely, so I know I have at least lost a ½ inch or more.

On Monday, we started going to a twice a day routine. I wake up in the morning, and start my day off with 30 minutes on the elliptical, 5000 strides, then slide over to the treadmill for another 30 minutes @ 3.5 MPH. after that I limp home, and try to recover, but today I have to go back at 11:00 for another grueling work out with Tyrell, before my weigh in at 4PM.

More to follow, as I am sure I will have lots to talk about after the weigh in. Have a great day everyone!
