The preparations are ready for local Christian band Kadesh to fly high with the new release of their debut album, City in the Sky.
Gaining success and recognition in the community, the Lake County-based group is charting a new course with seven original songs and a direction that brings a different feel to their music.
Fans old and new will get a chance to hear those songs live at a free Kadesh concert this Friday, May 27, at Lake Receptions in Mount Dora.
The members of Kadesh also attest to feeling something new while putting together their album and hope the music resonates with fans as it did for the group.
“We are really excited to play these songs live and get the album out so people can hear it as it is almost a new Kadesh,” says lead singer and guitarist Aaron Holmes.

“The Rock & the Rabbi” musical turn their first-time appearance in Mount Dora into an inspiring show of spiritual fortitude
Written by Blair Townley

The show’s author, Gary Richardson, took on the role of Peter the storyteller as he described his friendship with the “Rabbi,” Jesus Christ, and being renamed from Simon to Peter, meaning the “Rock.”
