This week I had a good week; I worked out with Kyndall my trainer at NTC and Carlos my trainer at Body Transformations. I have changed my exercise routine a bit to make it a little more intensive 3 days a week. I work out intensively for 50-60 minutes after I meet with Kyndall 3 days a week at NTC. She is doing a great job at toning my body up. I can actually see a difference. Toning is also a goal of my trainer at Body Transformations. I am willing to work hard and take advantage of this opportunity and I am delighted to have the encouragement and support of so many nice people. My job is to learn as much as I can from my trainers and to try to incorporate it into my training program. This week I have worked out 5 days a week in the gym and 5 days a week of cardio- tennis 2 hours, cycling 3 days for an hour each, and elipical 3 days for 1 hour each. I have also incorporated interval training into my routine with bursts of intensive physical activity for 1-3 minute interval 4 times per workout.
I was quite fatiqued this week due to the change in the routine. I have also just recieved my new road bike last Thursday. I will incorporate distance road riding into my fitness rountine. I will also take some spin classes at NTC and Epic cycle once a week in February in order to prepare for the a 100 mile bikeathon in August or November. I will ride in one of the bikeathon events. I am going to complete the 100 mile bikeathon in memory of my deceased father and brother and best friend Judy Epstien, who died of cancer last summer. They will always live on in my memory and have made a great impact on my life. My father once said to me you only live once and you might as well enjoy it and the best revenge is good healthy living. You are my eternity, when you breath I breath so take care of yourself and my future. I made a promise to him and my brother that I would do all I could to get healthier and they both gave me words of encouragement and support. Even in death they encourage me in my dreams with words of encouragement. So did Judy Epstien; she showed me how to fight and fought a hard battle against cancer. She is my shero. My brother died of a massive heart attack 3 years ago; he appeared to be in outstanding physical condition but had a hereditary heart condition that no one knew he had. One of his last words of encouragement to me 3 days before his death was that you a beautiful with the weight, you are beautiful while you lose the weight and you will be beautiful once you lost the weight. You are just beautiful and let no one or anything tell you you are not. You are simply a beautiful person inside and out. These words gave me the courage and stamina to continue to fight for more wieght loss. I had lost 115 pounds with the help of a two trainers at Gold’s gym and two nutritionists. Unfortunately, I had a medical issue that required that I be placed on steriod treatments 6 months ago and the streiods caused me to gain weight. There was nothing I could do but wait for the drugs run its course. The steriod treatments took care of the medical problem but caused weight gain. Now I am seeing some wieght loss again and very happy of it. I will accomplish my weight loss goal. After all you only live once and I will take this challenge as an opportunity. I just have a little further to go.
