Well we are 1 wk into this challenge and man what an eye opener, We did are first weigh in Tues. 1-5-09 and wow, the results were hard to swallow as well as scary and even a little over whelming. I met with my trainer Lenora and Dave on Fri. 1-8-09 and did my initial exam and results, Good news was I lost 4 pounds from Tues. until Fri. by changing my diet only, The initial exam was tough their were alot of little things to go through like resting pulse bp, strength, and overall endurance, The hardest part was you had to do as many sit ups as you possibly could in 1 minute, surprisingly I was above average on this part, then came the stair stepping for 3 minutes, I made it through but man I felt like I was gonna die, so after all this I thought I was done until Monday, no way we did and hour work out and put a great workout in place for me, lots of Cardio and then Weight Training on my Cardio off days, I will be starting my 5 day’s a week workout at the Wellness Center on Monday and I will be doing my at home routine on Saturdays and Sunday is my off day to rest and relax, I have to say it is deff. a change and a big challenge to learn how to eat properly and get your portion size under control, I have a lot of favorite foods but not so healthy so I am now learning those things will be eaten ONLY in moderation, Well wish me luck and I will post how next week goes, Best wishes to all the contestants and if I gain nothing more than a friend and confidence in myself that it is possible to do anything you want from this exsperince, then I feel I have won the hardest challenge their is.
